General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


 
Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health;
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Eligibility, PD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility, etc); 
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
  • Must be atleast one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) or 5 ft and 2 inches in height for Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) or 5.0 ft in height for Female; and
  • Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.

B. Photocopy of Birth Certificate from PSA
 
C. Authenticated Diploma
 
D. Authenticated Transcript of Records (TOR)
 
E. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility or  Board Rating (with photocopy of PRC ID)
 
F. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate from PSA (if applicable)
 
G. Photocopy of NBI Clearance

H. Photocopy of Police Clearance

I. Photocopy of Barangay Clearance
J. Photocopy of Court Clearances
- Fiscal Clearance
- Regional Trial Court Clearance
- Municipal Trial Court Clearance
K. Photocopy of PNP Directorate for Intelligence Clearance 
 
L. Photocopy of National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) / Office on Muslim Affairs (OMA) certification (if applicable)

Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,448 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
 

 

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)



Coverage of Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
