General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


 
Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health;
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Eligibility, PD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility, MARINA, etc); 
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
  • Must be at least one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) in height for Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) in height for Female. Provided that a waiver for height requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the cultural communities/indigenous peoples;
  • Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and gender.

Prepare the following in three (3) sets:

 
A. Encoded Personal Data Sheet (PDS)  (revised 2017)
 
B. Original PSA Birth Certificate
 
C. Original authenticated Diploma
 
D. Original authenticated Transcript of Records (TOR)
 
E. Original Certificate of Authentication and Verification (CAV) issued by the school or CHED
 
F. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility
  • PRC - authenticated unexpired PRC ID with documentary stamp
  • CSC - authenticated CSC certificate with QR code
  • MARINA - authenticated unexpired MARINA ID / Certificate of Comptencies
 
G. Original Certificate of Marriage from PSA (if applicable)

H. Clearances
  • NBI Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • Barangay Clearance

I. Court Clearances
  • Fiscal Clearance
  • Regional Trial Court Clearance
  • Municipal Trial Court Clearance
J. Photocopy of National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) / Office of Muslim Affairs (OMA) Certification (if applicable)

Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,448 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
 

 

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)



Coverage of Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
