FYI: LTO to Require 15-Hour Seminar for Student-Driver's Permit Starting April 2020




Starting April 6, 2020, the Land Transportation Office will require aspiring drivers to undergo 15 hours of training in an accredited driving school before they can secure a student driver’s permit following the Memorandum Circular 2019-2176 issued December 2019.

UPDATE [March 15, 2020]: POSTPONED: Implementation of 15-Hour Seminar on April 6, 2020

The driving course is divided into three five-hour sessions which will cover Introduction to Driving and Traffic Rules and the Land Transportation Related Special Laws.
