DETAILS: PMA Entrance Exam 2023 - Online Application

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) announces the conduct of the PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE) 2023. All Cadet Aspirants may now apply to take the PMA Entrance Examination thru online!

Qualifications


  • Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen;
  • Must be at least 17 years of age and not more than 22 years of age on 01 June of the admission year;
  • Must be at least Senior High School graduate (Grade 12) ;
  • Must have at least a GPA/GWA of 85% or its equivalent;
  • Must have a barefoot height of not less than 5'0" (152.4cm) but not more than 6'4" (193.04cm) for both male and female;
  • Must be single and never been married, never borne or sired a child;
  • Must be of good moral character;
  • Must have no administrative or criminal case;
  • Must pass the PMA Entrance Examination;
  • Must be physically and mentally fit for military training;
  • Must pass the complete Physical-Medical Examination by AFP Medical Board Nr 1; and
  • Must pass the Physical Fitness Test and Aptitude for the Service Interview.



Requirements for Online Application

 
  • Computer or smartphone/mobile device with internet access
  • Valid and working email account
  • Scanned copy of PSA birth certificate and Form 137/138 or Transcript of Record in Portable Document Format (PDF) or image JPEG format.
    • ALL PAGES of the document should be saved in ONE (1) document file format.
 NOTE: Scanned copies of PSA birth certificate and Form 137/138 are required and will be uploaded in the PMA Online Cadet Application System.

How To Apply

 

ONLINE APPLICATION

PMA is now accepting Online Application. High School Form 137 or Form 138 and PSA copy of Birth Certificate are the necessary documents for the Online Application. All interested applicants are requested to scan (pdf file format) said documents and attach it to the Online Application System.

 

1. Go to the Cadet Application System portal through https://admission.pma.edu.ph.

2.  Create a new account by clicking Sign-up button (pencil icon) on the upper-right corner of the screen. Fill out the spaces with the required information then click the next button to continue. Please provide a valid and active e-mail address when signing up. If you already have an account, click the Sign-in button instead.

3. After doing so, the system will send you a verification code to the email you provided. Copy and paste it in the box with the label “Verification Code” to complete your application. After submitting the verification code, you will be automatically logged in to the system.

4. Provide the necessary information like Personal Information, Educational Background, Requirements, and Survey. Fill-up the online application form then upload the scanned copies of your PSA Birth Certificate and Senior High School Form 137 or 138 (with name and grades). These files must be in either PDF or JPEG format. Uploaded PDF files must not exceed 20MB per file while the JPEG ones must not exceed 1MB in size. Please be mindful of the size of your files because any excess in file size will invalidate your attaching process.

5. After completing all the requirements, you will be notified that your application will be validated.

6. During the validation phase, PMA will determine if you are qualified to take the PMAEE based on the requirements that you have uploaded in your account.

7. Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification in your account that you can download your EXAM PERMIT. If you are disapproved, you will likewise receive a note stating the reason why you got disqualified.

8. Download and print your exam permit. Bring it to the examination center on the day of the examination. Do not forget to bring this document. You will not be allowed to take the exam without the permit.

Question: I applied to take the exam at a particular center. Can I take the exam in another center?
Answer: YES, go the center on exam day and inform the proctor about your circumstances.

Question: Is there a limit to how many times I can take the exam?
Answer: NONE, so long as you meet the requirements

Question: I applied by mail but I did not receive a permit or notice?
Answer: Check the master list for online applicants to verify if you are qualified to take the exam. If you are not in the list and you think you are qualified, contact the academy registrar. If you are in the list, proceed to the exam center on examination day.

Question: What are the things I should bring during the exam day?
Answer:
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Grades
  • 2 x 2 ID Picture
  • Valid ID (preferably school/driver's license)
  • at least 2 pencils ( no. 2)
Question: I did not apply by mail or online, can I go straight to the exam center on exam day?
Answer: YES, but you will be last priority. Priority will be given to regular applicants. Proctors bring only limited number of exam materials.

Question: How much is the fee to take the exam?
Answer: NO FEES. The exam is FREE.

Question: How should I prepare for the exam?
Answer: Prepare for the examination covering Algebra and Geometry; Grammar, Composition, Reading and Comprehension; and Verbal/Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis

Question: How long is the exam?
Answer: On examination day, the whole morning (7am to 11am) will be for administrative aspects of the exam (fill up forms, limited physical examination, etc). The exam proper starts at exactly 12:00 noon and will last up to 4:30 pm.
