General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


 
Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug, and physical tests for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health;
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must possess the appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE ProfessionalRA 1080, and Penology Officer EligibilityPD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility, etc); 
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
  • Must be atleast one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) or 5'2 ft in height for Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) or 5ft in height for Female; and
  • Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.

Complete the documents in one (1) long brown folder with white tabbing:
 
A. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS)  (revised 2017) attached with CS Form No. 212 Attachment - Work Experience Sheet
 
B. Photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by PSA
 
C. Authenticated copy of College Diploma
 
D. Authenticated copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
 
E. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility
- PRC Board Rating and shall be attached with an authenticated copy of PRC ID
(attach a Certificate of top ranking in the pRC examination if any)
- Civil Service Certificate of Eligibility
F. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate issued by PSA (if married)
 
G. Photocopy of updated:
 
- NBI Clearance
- PNP - Directorate for Intelligence Clearance (can be secured in the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office)
- PNP Clearance
- Barangay Clearance
- RTC
- MTC
- Fiscal Clearance
 
H. Photocopy of NCIP / NCMF Certificate - if necessary (NCMF should be issued by the Bureau of External Relations)

I. Photocopy of Previous & Present Employment Certificate/s
 
J. Photocopy of Certificate/s of Seminars/Trainings Completed

K. Photocopy of Member Data Record (MDR - Phil Health)
Photocopy Member's Data Form (MDF - Pag-IBIG)
Photocopy TIN ID / BIR Verification Slip
Directorate for Intelligence Clearance (PNP Regional Office)
 
NOTE:
Accomplished in one (1) brown ordinary folder with white tabbing and also, bring the following:
 
- 1 pc latest 1x1
- 1 pc latest passport size
- Hepa-B Screening  
 



How to Apply



All interested JO1 applicants are advised to submit their applications to the BJMP Regional Office 1, Camp Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando, La Union, Monday – Friday, 8 am to 1130 am.
 






Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,488 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
 

 

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)



Coverage of Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
