General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


 
Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE ProfessionalRA 1080, and Penology Officer EligibilityPD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility); 
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
  • Must be atleast one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) in height for Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) in height for Female. Provided that a waiver for height requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the cultural communities/indigenous peoples;
  • Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex; and
  • Must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining physical and mental health.




Documentary Requirements


 
All documents must be submitted in a WHITE folder with proper tabbings:

A. Duly accomplished  Personal Data Sheet (PDS)  (revised 2017) - Two (2) sets with one (1) sketch of residence
 
B. One (1) authenticated and one (1) photocopy of Transcript of Records
 
C. One (1) authenticated and one (1) photocopy of College Diploma
 
D. Original or authenticated copy of Birth Certificate issued by PSA  
 
E. One (1) authenticated and one (1) photocopy of Certificate of Eligibility (CSC) or Board Rating (PRC), valid PRC ID and Certificate of Good Standing
 
F. Photocopies of Valid Clearances (NBI, Police, PNP-Directorate for Intelligence, Barangay, MTC, RTC and Pocecutor's Office)
 
G. Valid Community Tax Certificate

H. Photocopies of Certificate/s of previous and Present Employment

I. Photocopies of Certificate/s of seminars/trainings completed

J. Original or authenticated copy of Marriage Contract issued by PSA (if married)

K. Original verified MDR (PHILHEALTH), MDF (PAG-IBIG) and TIN (BIR)

Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,488 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
 

 

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)

  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
