The Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office 10 (BFP10) is now accepting applications for CY 2020 (Attrition Quota) Recruitment and Selection for Fire Officer (FO1).

Qualification Standards for  Fire Officer 1


No person shall be appointed as uniformed personnel of the BFP unless he/she possesses the following qualifications:
  • A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests;
  • Must possess the Second Level Eligibility;
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for case from previous employment;
  • Must be at least 1.62 meter height for male and and 1.57 meter for female;
  • Must weigh no more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex;
  • Must not less than 21 nor more than 30 years old on the date of actual assumption of duty / oath of office.

Second Level Eligibility (any of the following)

  • Career Service Professional (Civil Service Commission);
  • Presidential Decree No. 907 (Honor Graduates - Civil Service Commission);
  • Career Service Fire Officer Exam (CS FOE - Civil Service Commission);
  • Republic Act 1080 (Board and Bar Exams - Professional Regulatory Commission);
  • Officer-in-Charge Navigational Watch / Engineering Watch (Marina)




Documentary Requirements


Applicants must submit the following documentary requirements in a long size green folder with fastener and tabbing:

A. 2 Copies of Handwritten / Computerized Personal Data Sheet (PDS)
  • print entries using black ballpen
  • notarized
  • recent passport size picture in white background with nametag and signature
B. 3 Copies Birth Certificate (PSA in original copy)
  • 3 Copies Marriage Certificate (if any)
  • 3 Copies Birth Certificate of Dependents (if any)
C. Certificate of Age/Height Waiver (if any)

D. 3 Copies of Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records and Diploma

E. 3 Copies Duly Certified Authenticated & Verified (CAV) by CHED

F. 3 Copies Certified True Copy of Eligibility / Report of Rating
  • holding PRC eligibility submit unexpired PRC ID, certificate of board rating or board passer
G. 3 Copies of Photocopy of IDs/Membership Data Form

  • Philhealth
  • Pag-ibig
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN), if available

H. Clearances with Official Receipt

  • Barangay
  • Mayor
  • MTC/MTCC
  • NBI (1 Original copy and 2 Authenticated Copies)
  • Police Clearance
  • RTC

I. Certification from the Government Health Facility or DOH accredited private laboratories that the following laboratory examinations were performed to an applicant must be attached in the application folder, to wit:

  • ECG
  • Urinalysis
  • CBC with Blood Typing
  • Hepa B Screening
  • Cholesterol
  • Creatinine
  • Chest X-Ray
  • Fasting Blood Sugar
  • Serum Pregnancy Test (for females)
  • Dental Panoramic X-Ray and size 2R extra and intra oral photos 

J. Affidavit of Undertaking (if applicable)
(Note: in case the applicants cannot provide the authenticated documents he/she shall be required to execute Affidavit of Undertaking specifying that the deadline of submission of required documents before the Oath Taking Ceremony)

The following application documents shall be submitted by the FO1 Applicant to the OPFD/ODFD in soft copy (scanned copies of application documents in PDF format in one folder) and hard copy place in one green folder with tabbing for further checking and validation by the Human Resource Management Section Admin Div. to wit:

A. Application Letter indicating the position applied for.

B. Handwritten / Computerized Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (1 copy)

C. Authenticated copy of the following documents or photocopy with Affidavit of Undertaking if applicable

  • Service Record (for previous government employees);
  • Transcript of Records and Diploma (3 copies)
  • Certified, Authenticated and Verified by CHED (CAV) (3 copies)
  • Certified True Copy of Eligibility/Report of Rating (3 copies)
  • Birth Certificate (PSA in Original Copy) (3 copies)
  • Marriage Certificate (if any) (3 copies)
  • Birth Certificate of Dependents (if any) (3 copies)
  • Certificate of Waiver (for applicants with age and/or height deficiency/ies)
  • Photocopy of IDs/MDF (Philhealth; Pag-ibig; TIN if available) (3 copies)
  • Barangay, Mayor, MTC/MTCC, NBI, Police Clearance, RTC
D. Certification from the Government Health Facility or DOH accredited private laboratories

E. Affidavit of Undertaking (if applicble)

F. Dental Panoramic X-Ray and size 2R extra and intra oral photos. Those applicants who applied last June 15 to July 10 2020 with out dental procedure are not required to submit new panoramic X-ray.




Waivers (any of the following)

(for applicants with age and/or height deficiency/ies)
  • National Certificate for Indigenous Peoples
  • National Certificate for Muslim Filipinos
  • Professional Drivers License with restriction code 1, 2 & 3
  • Certificate of Fire Volunteer for atleast 6 months



    Salary


    Fire Officer 1 will receive a monthly basic salary of P29,668 (Salary Grade 10) upon oathtaking.
