The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) announces the conduct of the PMA Entrance Examination (PMAEE) 2021. The Cadet Online Application may be accessed by all Cadet Aspirants starting May 1, 2021 through https://admission.pma.ph/.

Qualifications


  • Natural Born Filipino Citizen
  • Physically fit and of good moral character
  • Single and has never been married nor pregnant nor have a legal obligation to support a child or children
  • At least high school graduate (Grade 12)
  • No Administrative/Criminal Case
  • Must pass the PMA Entrance Examination
  • Minimum height of 5 feet for both male and female
  • At least 17 years old and not more than 22 years old on 01 April of the year of admission


Note: If you are currently at Grade 12, provided that you are at least 17 years old and not more than 22 years old on 01 April of the year of admission, you may already take the PMA Entrance Examination.

How To Apply


These are the three ways to apply for the PMAEE:

  • ONLINE APPLICATION
  • APPLICATION VIA MAIL
  • APPLICATION VIA WALK-IN SCREENING


I. ONLINE APPLICATION

If you wish to apply for PMAEE online, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Cadet Application System portal through https://admission.pma.edu.ph.

2.  Create a new account by clicking Sign-up button (pencil icon) on the upper-right corner of the screen. Fill out the spaces with the required information then click the next button to continue. Please provide a valid and active e-mail address when signing up. If you already have an account, click the Sign-in button instead.

3. After doing so, the system will send you a verification code to the email you provided. Copy and paste it in the box with the label “Verification Code” to complete your application. After submitting the verification code, you will be automatically logged in to the system.

4. Provide the necessary information like Personal Information, Educational Background, Requirements, and Survey. Fill-up the online application form then upload the scanned copies of your PSA Birth Certificate and Senior High School Form 137 or 138 (with name and grades). These files must be in either PDF or JPEG format. Uploaded PDF files must not exceed 20MB per file while the JPEG ones must not exceed 1MB in size. Please be mindful of the size of your files because any excess in file size will invalidate your attaching process.

5. After completing all the requirements, you will be notified that your application will be validated.

6. During the validation phase, PMA will determine if you are qualified to take the PMAEE based on the requirements that you have uploaded in your account.

7. Once your application has been approved, you will receive a notification in your account that you can download your EXAM PERMIT. If you are disapproved, you will likewise receive a note stating the reason why you got disqualified.

8. Download and print your exam permit. Bring it to the examination center on the day of the examination. Do not forget to bring this document. You will not be allowed to take the exam without the permit.


II. APPLICATION VIA MAIL

Aside from the online application, you may send  your application for the PMA Entrance Exam via mail/courier service. Please refer to the guidelines below:

o Read carefully the guidelines provided on the second page of the application form.

o Print and fill-up the application form.

  • Along with your application form, include the following in your envelope:

o 2×2 ID picture with white background, 

o PSA Birth Certificate (Photocopy)

o Original/Certified True Copy and photocopy of ANY of the following:

 - High School Form 137 or 138

 - Latest Grade in High School in currently in Grade 12

 - Certificate of Grades from last semester attended (for college students)

  • Wait for the Office of the Cadet Recruitment and Admission’s response to be sent to the email address that you have provided on your application form. 


III. APPLICATION VIA WALK-IN SCREENING

For Walk-in Applicants, please bring the following:

  • Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  • Original/Certified True Copy and photocopy of ANY of the following:

 - Senior High School Form 137 or 138 (with name and grades)

 - Latest Grade in High School in currently in Grade 12

  - Certificate of Grades from last semester attended (for college students)

  • 2 x 2 Picture with white background
  • Valid ID (preferably school/driver’s license)
  • At least 2 pencils (No. 2)




Frequently Asked Questions


Question: I applied to take the exam at a particular center. Can I take the exam in another center?
Answer: YES, go the center on exam day and inform the proctor about your circumstances.

Question: Is there a limit to how many times I can take the exam?
Answer: NONE, so long as you meet the requirements

Question: I applied by mail but I did not receive a permit or notice?
Answer: Check the master list for online applicants to verify if you are qualified to take the exam. If you are not in the list and you think you are qualified, contact the academy registrar. If you are in the list, proceed to the exam center on examination day.

Question: What are the things I should bring during the exam day?
Answer:
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Grades
  • 2 x 2 ID Picture
  • Valid ID (preferably school/driver's license)
  • at least 2 pencils ( no. 2)
Question: I did not apply by mail or online, can I go straight to the exam center on exam day?
Answer: YES, but you will be last priority. Priority will be given to regular applicants. Proctors bring only limited number of exam materials.

Question: How much is the fee to take the exam?
Answer: NO FEES. The exam is FREE.

Question: How should I prepare for the exam?
Answer: Prepare for the examination covering Algebra and Geometry; Grammar, Composition, Reading and Comprehension; and Verbal/Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis

Question: How long is the exam?
Answer: On examination day, the whole morning (7am to 11am) will be for administrative aspects of the exam (fill up forms, limited physical examination, etc). The exam proper starts at exactly 12.00 noon and will last up to 4.30 pm.
