General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Eligibility, PD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility, MARINA Eligibility etc);
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age. A waiver for age requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the Cultural Communities;
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must be atleast five feet and two inches (5'2 ft) or one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) in height for Male and five feet (5'0 ft) or one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) in height for Female: A waiver for height requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the Cultural Communities.
  • Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5kgs) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age, and sex.

A. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS)(CSC Form 212 revised 2017)

B. PNP-Directorate for Intelligence Clearance (can be secured in the PNP Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Offices)
 
C. Original Copy Birth Certificate from PSA and Marriage Certificate (if married)
 
D. Authenticated Copy of:
  • CAV from CHED 
  • Transcript of Records
  • Diploma

E. Authenticated Copy of (Any of the following):
  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • Certificate of Good Standing (PRC)
  • Photocopy of PRC D

F. Authenticated/Original Copy of Valid Clearances:
  • Barangay
  • Police
  • NBI 
  • MTC
  • RTC 
  • Prosecutor's Office

G. Photocopy of PhilHealth (Member's Data Record Form)

H. Photocopy ofPAG-IBIG (Member's Data Form)

I. Photocopy of TIN ID

J. Certificate of Confirmation from NCIP (if needed)

Where / How to Apply



Interested applicants are advised to submit two (2) long white folders with plastic cellophane at BJMP CARAGA Regional Office, Brgy. Doongan, Butuan City.

Please review and check the QUALIFICATION STANDARDS and complete all the pertinent requirements before submitting your folders to the Regional Office. Incomplete requirements will not be accepted by the PRM Division.

Deadline


The tentative deadline for Recruitment 2023 is on the Third week of January 2023.
 
 
 

Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,448 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
 

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)



Coverage of Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
