Qualifications
I. For Commissionship
A. GENERAL LINE OFFICERS (GLO)
- Natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
- Of good moral character;
- Physically and mentally qualified under the existing regulations for PCG Service;
- Single;
- Minimum entry height of 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male and female;
- Baccalaureate Degree holder;
- With Professional Civil Service Eligibility or PRC License, Marina License for Officers, Pilot License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) or any equivalence as maybe determined and approved by the Command;
- At least twenty-one
(21) but not more than twenty-eight (28) years of age at the date of
appointment in the PCG Service. For applicants coming from the ranks, no
age limit will apply but the fitness of the applicant to undergo
training shall be determined by the Coast Guard Medical Service.
B. TECHNICAL LINE OFFICERS (TLO)
𝐁.𝟏 𝐓𝐎 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐆 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩
(Lawyers, Medical Doctors, Dentists, Veterinarians and Chaplain)
- Natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
- Of good moral character;
- Physically and mentally qualified under the existing regulations for PCG Service;
- Single or Married (except for Priests);
- Minimum entry height of 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male and female;
- Bar or Board Passer in their respective fields of profession;
- At least twenty-six (26) but not more than thirty-six (36) years of age upon appointment;
𝐁.𝟐 𝐓𝐎 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐆 𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩
(Nurses, Medical Technologists, Psychologists, Physical Therapist and other professions considered by the Command as Technical)
- Natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
- Of good moral character;
- Physically and mentally qualified under the existing regulations for PCG Service;
- Single;
- Minimum entry height of 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male and female;
- Board Passer in their respective fields of profession;
- At least twenty-one (21) but not more than twenty-eight (28) years of age upon appointment.
II. Enlistment for Non-Officer
- Natural-born citizen of the Philippines;
- Of good moral character;
- Physically and mentally qualified under the existing regulations for PCG Service;
- Single;
- Minimum entry height of 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male and female;
- College graduate or has earned at least seventy-two (72) units in college in only one (1) course as reflected in the Transcript of Records (TOR);
- With Sub Professional Civil Service Eligibility / second level eligibility or higher; or with TESDA National Certificate (NCII);
- At least eighteen (18) but not more than twenty-eight (28) years of age at the date of appointment in the PCG Service.
