The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology - Region 8 is now accepting applicants for the position of Jail Officer 1 for 2024 quota.

General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1

 

Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:

• A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  
• A person of good moral character;
• Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests for the purpose of determining his / her physical and mental health; 
  
• Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
• Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Eligibility, PD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility, MARINA etc); 
• Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
• Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.
  
• Must be atleast one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) or 5 ft and 2 inches in height for Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) or 5ft in height for Female; and
  
• Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.
  

Documentary Requirements

 

Bring one (1) folder containing the following documents WITHOUT tabbing letters. Bring also original copy of all the documents required for validation aside from the tabbed folder:

• Duly accomplishedPersonal Data Sheet (PDS)  (original copy)
  

• PSA Birth Certificate

•  PSA Marriage Certificate
  

• Certificate of NCIP / NCMF  (if applicable)

•  TIN Certification (Not TIN Card)

• Pag-Ibig Member's Data Form(MDF)
  

• PhilHealth Member's Data Record (MDR)

• College Diploma  (photocopy)

• College TOR (photocopy)
  

• Certificate of Eligibility (CSC/Penology Officer Exam)
  

• Board Rating with Updated PRC License (authenticated by PRC)
  

• MARINA Board rating & Updated ID (MARINA Eligible)
  

• Photocopies of Up-to-date Clearances such as:

- Barangay
- Police
- MTC
- RTC
- Prosecutor's
- NBI

• Duly filled-out BJMP Applicants Personal Profile from (DI FORM No. 1 s. 2022)

Salary

Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,488 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.

Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)

Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)

• Mathematics – 20%
• Basic English and Grammar – 30%
• Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
