General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1
Applicants must strictly meet the following qualification requirements:
- A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
- A person of good moral character;
- Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
- Must possess the appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Eligibility, PD 907 Honor Graduate Eligibility);
- Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment;
- Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
- Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
- Must be
atleast one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m) in height for
Male and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52 m) in height for
Female. Provided that a waiver for height requirement shall be
automatically granted to applicants belonging to the cultural
communities;
- Must weigh not more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex; and
- Must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining physical and mental health.

Eligibility or Board Rating with photocopy of PRC ID
F. Photocopy of Clearances
- Barangay Clearance, Police Clearance, NBI Clearance- MTC Clearance, RTC Clearance, Fiscal's Clearance
G. Photocopy of PNP Directorate for Intelligence Clearance
H. Photocopy of NCIP / Bureau of External Relations Certificate (For waivers)
I. Photocopies of Certificate/s of previous and Present Employment
J. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate issued by PSA if married
K. Photocopies of the following
- MDF verified by PAG-IBIG- MDR verified by PHILHEALTH- TIN verified by BIR
How to Apply
Salary
Jail Officer 1 will receive a basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,448 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.
Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)
Criminologist
applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and
35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)
