The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is an agency of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) responsible for implementing national policies related to Firefighting and fire prevention as well as implementation of the Fire Code of the Philippines (Republic Act 9514). It is in charge of the administration and management of municipal and city fire and emergency services nationwide.
 
 
 
Interested applicants are advised to submit their application folder to their respective BFP Regional Offices. Check out the recruitment details below, courtesy of BFP:


Qualification Standards for  Fire Officer 1


No person shall be appointed as uniformed personnel of the BFP unless he/she possesses the following qualifications:
  • Open to all male and female Filipino citizen not less that twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Bachelor's degree holder;
  • Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests;
  • Must possess the Second Level Eligibility;
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for case from previous employment;
  • Must be at least 1.57 meter height for male and and 1.52 meter for female;
  • Must weigh no more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex;

Second Level Eligibility (any of the following)

  • Career Service Professional (Civil Service Commission);
  • Presidential Decree No. 907 (Honor Graduates - Civil Service Commission);
  • Career Service Fire Officer Exam (CS FOE - Civil Service Commission);
  • Republic Act 1080 (Board and Bar Exams - Professional Regulatory Commission);
  • Officer-in-Charge Navigational Watch / Engineering Watch (Marina)

Documentary Requirements

 
 
Please be reminded that after your initial registration, you should proceed to your nearest BFP Fire Station, or BFP Regional Office or their respective FB pages to be acquainted with the documentary requirements for submission. All the stages of processing will be done at the concerned Regional Office.

Salary


Fire Officer 1 will receive a monthly basic salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking.
