The Philippine Army (PA) or Hukbong Katihan ng Pilipinas is the main, oldest and largest branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), responsible for ground warfare.

OFFICER CANDIDATE COURSE (OCC)

 
Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree holder
  • Natural-born Filipino Citizen
  • Single with no parental obligation
  • At least 5 feet tall (both male and female)
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • At least 21 years old but not a day older than 27 years old upon oath-taking
  • No pending case in any court

 

 

OFFICER CANDIDATE COURSE - RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS (OCC-ROTC)

 

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree holder
  • Natural-born Filipino Citizen
  • Single with no parental obligation
  • At least 5 feet tall (both male and female)
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • At least 21 years old but not a day older than 28 years old on the date of graduation at the Officer Candidate School (OCS)
  • MS43 graduate
  • No pending cases in any court

 
Officer candidates are entitled to the following:

 

OFFICER CANDIDATES (during training)
  •  Pay and allowances PhP45,556.00 / month

OFFICERS (SECOND LIEUTENANT)
  • Pay and allowances PhP51,879.00 / month

Qualifications:
  • At least 72 units or Senior High School graduate
  • Natural-born Filipino Citizen
  • Single with no parental obligation
  • At least 5 feet tall (both male and female)
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • At least 18 years old but not a day older than 26 years old upon oath taking
  • No pending cases in any court

 

 
 

SPECIAL ENLISTMENT

 
Qualifications:
  • Must be an AFPSAT passer
  • Natural-born Filipino citizen
  • At least 18 years old but not a day older than 36 years old
  • Single or married
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • With good moral character
  • No pending cases in any court

 

Enlisted personnel are entitled of the following:
 

CANDIDATE SOLDIERS (during training)
  • Pay and allowances PhP20,777.00 / month

ENLISTED PERSONNEL (Private)
  • Pay and allowances PhP37,518.00 / month

STEP 2: Examination (free)

Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT)

STEP 3: Initial Board Interview

STEP 4: Physical Fitness Test (sit up, push up, run)

STEP 5: Physical Medical Exam (free at the nearest Military Station Hospitals)

STEP 6: Final Board Interview

STEP 7: Oath Taking
