Qualifications for Sailor Basic Course
- A natural-born Filipino citizen of good moral character
- Has completed 12 years of basic education under K to12 or has at least 72 units of collegiate course from an educational institution recognized by the government, or has at least completed any technical course with National Certificate (NCII) at the Technical Education Skill Development Authority (TESDA)
- At least 18 years old but not a day older than 24 years and 5 months old on the date of application and not a day older than 25 years and 5 months upon appointment as Candidate Sailor / Soldier.
- Height of not less than 5'0" (152.4 cm) for both male and female
- Single and never been married, never borne or sired a child
- Of good moral character
- Physically and mentally fit for training
- A natural-born Filipino citizen of good moral character
