The
Philippine Science High School System is now accepting applications for
National Competitive Examination 2024 for incoming Grade 7 scholars for School Year 2025-2026.
Applications may be processed online through the website, https://nce.pshs.edu.ph.
Every year, the Philippine Science High School or PSHS conducts the National Competitive Examination, a one-time screening examination to determine the qualifiers for PSHS scholarship

What is Philippine Science High School?
The Philippine Science High School or PSHS offers Grades 7-12 education, under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The PSHS offers a world-class curriculum specializing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Criteria for Eligibility
A grade 6 elementary pupil from a duly recognized school by the Department of Education who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply for the PSHS National Competitive Examination (NCE).
He/She Must:
- have a final grade of 85% or better in Science and Mathematics, evidenced by the student's report card. If the student's grades in Science or Math are below 85%, then, he/she must provide evidence that he/she belongs to the upper 10% of the batch.
- be a Filipino citizen with no pending or approved application as immigrant to any foreign country;
- not be more than 15 years old by June 30, 2025;
- have at least a satisfactory rating (or its equivalent) in his/her Character Rating in his/her report card (SY 2023 - 2024);
- Have not previously applied for admission in PSHS; and
- preferably, be in good health and fit to undergo a rigorous academic program

Application Requirements
For walk-in applicants:
- Fully accomplished application form.
- Recent 1x1 ID pictures.
- Non-refundable processing fee for private school students - Php 300, based on the applicant's Grade 5 school / Free for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools.
- Certified true copy of report card (SY 2023 - 2024) by the class adviser / principal.
- If the final grades in Science or Math are below 85%, certification or proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch.
- Certification from the private school if the pupil-applicant is on full scholarship.
For applicants online:
- Scanned/Digitized copy of most recent 1x1 ID pictures
- Scanned/Digitized copy of Proof of Payment (Php 300 for private school students; free for public school students and students with full scholarship from private schools)
- Scanned/Digitized copy of Certified true copy of report card (SY 2023 - 2024) by the class adviser / principal.
- Scanned/Digitized copy of certification of proof that the child belongs to the upper 10% of the batch if the final grades in Science or Math are below 85%.
- Certification from the private school if the pupil-applicant is on full scholarship.
The processing fee is FREE for public school students and students with full scholarship from
private schools. Non-refundable Php 300.00 processing fee for private school students (based on the
applicant’s Grade 5 school). Payment is made upon submission of application, payments may be made online after accomplishing the online form, however, walk-in applicants can pay thru cash at the cashier’s office.

Application Process
Parents or guardians may submit the application directly to the nearest Philippine Science High School campus and DOST Regional Offices, and Provincial Science and Technology Offices. Alternatively, you can also submit your applications online at nce.pshs.edu.ph.
For walk-in applicants:
- The PSHS NCE Application Form and the accompanying material are not for sale, may be photocopied, and may be downloaded through this link: https://pshs.edu.ph/wp-content/downloads/public_bidding/Promotional_Materials_for_2024_NCE/2024_NCE_Application_Form.pdf .
- Application forms are also available and may be filed at any of the following: PSHS campuses, DOST Regional offices, or Provincial Science and Technology Offices. Application forms with incomplete information will not be processed. Erasures, alterations and insertions must be initialed by the applicant.
- The application form, attached documents and proof of payment are evaluated immediately upon submission.

- Applicants must sign up first through this nce.pshs.edu.ph/signup.
- To submit an application, the PSHS NCE Applicant must provide the details required in the online application form.
Note: No reservation fee is required.
NCE examinee-applicants, which entitles scholarship privileges from the
government once qualified, personal information may be processed for
purposes of legitimate interest by the personal information controller
or third party pursuant to Section 12(f) of the Data Privacy Act of
2012, without prejudice to their fundamental human rights.”
