GUIDE: How To Apply for the Government Online Career Fair 2020

The Civil Service Commission (CSC), in partnership with JobStreet, is holding a nationwide Government Online Career Fair (GOCF) in celebration of the 120th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. 


GOCF shall be accessible on 14-18 September 2020. Applicants from all over the Philippines may join or participate in the event.

HOW TO APPLY


1. Register on Jobstreet.com

The job applicant must have an account with the JobStreet.com. Already have an account? Pre-register here: https://onlinejobfair.jobstreet.com.ph/ . If the applicant has no account, the applicant must create an account by visiting JobStreet.com.ph. here's how:

a. Go to jobstreet.com.ph.
b. Click the “Sign Up” icon flashed on the screen. If you are using a tablet or mobile phone, tap on 'Menu' then select 'Sign Up'.
c. Fill in your First Name, Last Name, Email and Password. Click on ‘Sign Up’.
d. Fill in your basic information and preferences for job matching purposes. Click on ‘Next’.
e. Fill in your highest qualification and latest work experience to start creating your JobStreet.com Profile.
f. Click on ‘Complete’. You will be prompted to validate your email address next.

2. Prepare your Personal Data Sheet (PDS)

You are required to upload your PDS as your resume on your JobStreet profile. Without this, your application will not be processed.

a. You may download the Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (Excel format) from the CSC website here or
b. You can access the ONLINE Personal Data Sheet form from Jobstreet.com here.
c. Fill up or provide the required information and download the accomplished Personal Data sheet.


3. Upload your Personal Data Sheet on your JobStreet Profile

a. Login to your JobStreet.com account.
b. Click on ‘MyJobStreet’> ‘Update  Your Profile’. If you are using a tablet or mobile phone, tap on 'Menu' then select 'MyJobStreet'> ‘Update  Your Profile’.
c. On the left menu, select ‘Uploaded Resume’. If you are using a tablet or mobile phone, tap on the 'Edit' link to reveal the menu then select ‘Uploaded Resume’.
d. Click on ‘Upload Now’, ‘View’ or ‘Replace’.
e. Follow the instructions given to locate your accomplished Personal Data Sheet form.
f. Click on ‘Upload’.

4. View participating agencies and access their job listings to choose preferred positions to apply; and

5. Submit application through Apply Button located at the bottom page of the agency posting.




Note: The agency shall conduct the initial assessment and notify the job applicants through email or text message the status of the application and/or additional instructions or requirements to be complied by the applicant.





EQUAL EMPLOYMENT PRINCIPLE (EOP)


The CSC highly encourages application from qualified interested persons, including persons with disabilities (PWD), members of indigenous communities, and those from any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression (SOGIE).


COMPLIANCE TO THE FIRST TIME JOBSEEKERS ASSISTANCE ACT


All applicants who are considered first time jobseekers as defined under CSC Resolution No. 2000363 dated 21 February 2020, Circularized under OM No. 14, s. 2020 shall be entitled to a waiver of fees and charges in the issuance or authentication of a copy of Certificate of Eligibility. Should the record of the Commission show that the person has previously requested a COE but has not been employed yet and still qualifies for the benefits provided by the First Time Job Seekers Act, they can still be given the requested certificate for free, provided, they complied with the following requirements:

1. Any applicant claiming to be a first time jobseeker as contemplated in the First Time Jobseekers Act must secure and present barangay certification stating that he/she is a first time jobseeker;

2. The applicant must be a Filipino citizen, actively looking for employment and resident of the barangay issuing the barangay certification for at least six (6) months; and

3. The validity of the barangay certificate shall be one (1) year from the issuance.
