General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


No person shall be appointed as uniformed personnel of the BJMP unless he/she possesses the following minimum qualifications:
  • Must be a Filipino Citizen
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning
  • Must possess the second level eligibility (any of the ff: RA1080, CS Professional, CS-POE & MARINA )
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age. Provided, that a waiver for age requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to the cultural communities
  • Must be at least 5' 4" or one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male, and 5' 2" or one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) for female: provided that a waiver for height requirement shall be granted to applicants belonging to the cultural communities
  • Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5kgs) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.

1. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (original copy); 

2. PSA Birth Certificate (photocopy)

3. PSA Marriage Certificate, if applicable (photocopy)

4. Certificate from NCIP/NCMF, if applicable (photocopy)

5. Seminars/Trainings attended, if any (photocopy)




TAB B

1. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (original copy); 

2. College Diploma (photocopy)

3. College TOR, if applicable (photocopy)

4. Certificate of Eligibility CSC Professional / Penology Exam, if applicable (photocopy)

5. Board Rating with updated PRC License

6. MARINA board rating and updated ID (authenticated by MARINA - photocopy)




TAB C

1. Duly accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (original copy);

2. Residential and Permanent address sketch (photocopy)

3. Up-to-date clearances (photocopy):
  • Barangay
  • Police
  • Municipal Trial Court
  • Regional Trial Court
  • Prosecutor's
  • NBI



NOTE: Always secure extra ORIGINAL COPY OF THE documents listed above. The original copy will be checked during your initial assessment and interview upon reporting at the BJMP Regional Office VIII.







Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,488 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.

Application Folders should be brought by the Qualified Applicants once they are being called to report at the BJMP Regional Office VIII for the start of the recruitment processing.

Entry Level Examination


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)
