General qualifications for appointment to Jail Officer 1


No person shall be appointed as uniformed personnel of the BJMP unless he/she possesses the following minimum qualifications:
  • A Citizen of the Republic of the Philippines
  • A Person of good moral character
  • Must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health
  • Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning
  • Must possess the appropriate civil service eligibility
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged of dismissal for cause from previous employment
  • Must not have been convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude
  • Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age
  • Must be at least 5' 4" or one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male, and 5' 2" or one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) for female: provided that a waiver for height requirement shall be granted to applicants belonging to the cultural communities
  • Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5kgs) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Process your documentary requirements listed below.

2. Register online at the http://www.bjmpro-car.com/join_us.html or Online Recruitment Application System (ORAS)  with your Gmail Account only.

3.Register with your true and correct information, any falsification will forfeit your application.

4.Ensure that the Soft Copy of your Documentary Requirements must be Scanned from your Original Copy in PDF Format to be Uploaded in the later part of the system. Further instructions and illustrations on how to Upload your Documentary Requirements is posted in the last part of the system.

5. Bring Original documents documents and submit 1 set of the Documentary Requirements (Photocopy of the Original) placed in folder properly TABBED and LABELLED upon your scheduled Preliminary Interview and Assessment.


REMINDERS TO JAIL OFFICER 1 APPLICANTS
  • Always sign-in Logbook at the Information Desk before you transact any business at the PRMD.
  • Always observe courtesy especially in following up the status of your applications.
  • Always report on Time.
  • Transact your business with authorized DPRM/PRMD personnel only. NO FEES shall be charged during your applacation except for personal expenses during laboratory exams or dental interventions done in private institutions.
  • Report to the Director, Chief, PRMD/HRD divisions any comments or suggestions to further improve the system.
  • If there is any individual or personnel of the Bureau who extort money in changes for a favorable action on one's application, procee to the Directorate for Intelligence and Investigation Prosecution Division or to the Office of the Regional Director for commensurate action.

Documentary Requirements



A. Duly Accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with attached Work Experience Sheet

B. Photocopy of Birth Certificate PSA

C. Authenticated Copy of College Diploma

D. Authenticated Copy of Transcript of Records

E. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility or Board Rating (with PRC ID copy)

F. Photocopy of Marriage Certificate PSA (if married)

G. Photocopy of Updated NBI clearance

H. Photocopy of Updated Police Clearance

I. Photocopy of Updated Barangay Clearance

J. Photocopies of Updated Court clearances:
  • Fiscal Clearance
  • MTC
  • RTC
K. Photocopy of NCIP/NCMF Certificate (if necessary) (NCMF should be issued by the Bureau of External Relations)

L. Photocopy of Certificate/s of Previous and Present Employment

M. Photocopies of Certificate/s of Seminars/Trainings Completed

N. Valid Community Tax Certificate

Salary


Jail Officer 1 will receive a  basic monthly salary of P29,668 upon oathtaking. A gross monthly salary of P37,488 will be received including the monthly salary and allowances.



Entry Level Examination


Criminologist applicants are exempted to take the EnLEx. (Pursuant to Section 34 and 35, Article V of RA 11131 re: Privileges of Registered Criminologists.)



Coverage of Entry Level Examination (EnLEx)


  • General Information – 20%
  • Mathematics – 20%
  • Basic English and Grammar – 30%
  • Sentence Arrangement and Paragraph Completion – 20%
  • Essay – 10%
