Initial Requirements


A. PSA issued Birth Certificate of Patrolman / Patrolwoman Applicant;

B. PSA issued Marriage Contract (if Married);

C. PSA issued Birth Certificate of Dependents;

D. PSA issued Certificate of Non-Marriage (CENOMAR) (if Single); 

E. Photocopy of Valid ID with three (3) specimen signatures;

F. School Documents:

  • College Diploma & Transcript of Record (TOR)
  • General Weighted Average GWA of TOR
  • Good Moral Character (from school last attended)
  • Certification, Authentication and Verification (From School or CHED)

G. Eligibility (it must be original or authenticated):

a. Board Exam Rating, or
b. NAPOLCOM Exam Result, or
c. Civil Service Exam Result, or
d. Honor Graduate Eligibility (PD 907)

4. Civil Service Commission Personal Data Sheet (PDS)

5. NAPOLCOM Height or Age Waiver.

Qualifications

 

These are the basic qualifications set by Republic Act (RA) No. 6975, as amended by RA 8551:


1. A citizen of the Philippines;

2. A person of good moral character;

3. Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP;

4. Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;

5. Must posses ANY of the following eligibilities:

6. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;

7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;

8. Must be at least 5'2" or one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) in height for male and 5'0" or one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52m) for female;

9. Must weigh no more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex; and

10. Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.

Salary


 
Successful candidates will be appointed to the initial rank of Police Patrolman with a monthly base pay of P29,668.00 with other mandated allowances and benefits.



What is an appointment under a Waiver Program?

 


1. The age, height and weight for initial appointment to the PNP may be waived only when the number of qualified applicants falls below the approved national;/regional quota;

2. The NAPOLCOM en banc may grant height waiver to a member of an indigenous group within the region as certified by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) or Office on Muslim Affairs (OMA);

3. Waiver of the age requirement may be granted only provided the applicant is not less than 20 nor more than 35 years of age;

4. Waiver of the height requirement may granted to a male applicant who is 1.57 m and a female applicant who is 1.52 m. A lower height requirement may be set for applicants belonging to indigenous group as certified by the NCIP.
 
 

What are the documents required in filing application for waivers?


 
 
b. NSO-authenticated Birth Certificate;
 
c. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility;
 
d. Authenticated Transcript of Records/Diploma;
 
e. Certificate of Trainings/Special Skills;
 
f. Annual recruitment quota (to be provided by the PNP);
 
g. Worksheet of Final Deliberation
 
h. Certification under oath that there are no more qualified candidates to fill the quota;
 
i. Justification/Board Resolution recommending the applicant for a waiver; and NCIP certificate (for height waiver applicants only)

 
NOTE: The application for grant waiver must be endorsed by the Director/Regional Director of the processing unit to the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management for subsequent processing.




What are the factors to be considered in the grant of waivers?


1. Outstanding accomplishments or possession of special skills in law enforcement, police work, martial arts, marksmanship and similar skills;

2. Special talents in the field of sports, music and others; and Extensive experience or training in training in forensic science and other technical services.
