The Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office IV (CALABARZON) still accepting applicants for the position of Fire Officer 1 (FO1) for 2021 quota.

The deadline of submission of documents through online application for Fire Officer 1 position under the Regular Quota is extended from 03 May 2021 to 14 May 2021.





Full details of recruitment process as well as program of activities for the simultaneous conduct of the CY 2021 regular recruitment and selection for new FO1s are listed through the memorandum released by the BFP CALABARZON last April 19, 2021:


Qualification Standards for  Fire Officer 1


No person shall be appointed as uniformed personnel of the BFP unless he/she possesses the following qualifications:
  • A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  • A person of good moral character;
  • Must possess a Baccalaureate Degree (4-year Course Graduate);
  • Must have passed the psychiatric / psychological, drug and physical tests;
  • Must possess the Second Level Eligibility;
  • Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for case from previous employment;
  • Must be at least 1.62 meter height for male and and 1.57 meter for female;
  • Must weigh no more or less than 5 kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex;
  • Must not be less than 21 nor more than 30 years old on the date of actual assumption of duty / oath of office.

Second Level Eligibility (any of the following)


  • Career Service Professional (Civil Service Commission);
  • Presidential Decree No. 907 (Honor Graduates - Civil Service Commission);

  • Republic Act 1080 (Board and Bar Exams - Professional Regulatory Commission);

Documentary Requirements


Applicants are advised to prepare the following documents with proper tabbing in one(1) set of application folder, to be uploaded via online, in a scanned clear-copy on pdf format only. (The same set of documents shall be submitted later on to the office of the Human Resource Management Section, Administrative Division, Regional Office IV-A, Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna):


Original Copy of:


A. Signed Application Letter for the position applied for and addressed to the Regional Director, BFP R4-A;

B. Handwritten duly accomplished and notarized Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with recent 3.5cm x 4.5cm (passport size) ID Photo. Print entries using Black ballpen and affix signature in Blue ballpen.
Do not use sign pen. 

C. Clearances  (Barangay, Mayor, Police, MTC, RTC, Fiscal, NBI);



Authenticated copy of:


D. PSA Live Birth Certificate with receipt;

E. PSA Marriage Contract (for married applicants);

F. Transcript of Records (TOR) and Diploma (duly authenticated by school registrar/appropriate authenticating officer of the issuing school/college/university);

G. Certificate of Appropriate Eligibility and ID, for Board Passers (duly authenticated by the appropriate authenticating officer of the PRC/CSC);

H. Service Record (duly authenticated, for previous government employee)


Photocopy of:


I. Certificate of Waiver issued by the Chief, BFP (in case applicant did not meet the height and age requirement);

J. Unexpired two (2) Valid Government Issued IDs (considered Primary and/or Secondary IDs);

K. Unexpired Professional Driver's License with Restrictions Code 2 and 3 (PDL 23); National Certificate (NC) II or III in driving issued by TESDA; (if any);

L. Proof of Tax Identification Number (TIN), PHILHEALTH Number and PAG-IBIG Number (ID Cards) duly verified by the agency;

NOTE:

  • PSA Certificates must be provided with release receipts; Clearances must be valid upon submission for application; Identification Cards (IDs) must be valid beyond 01 July 2021;
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN) should not be registered under a business name; Applicants are highly encourage to have their TIN upon application;
  • Claim stubs may be considered upon application provided that the documents are submitted not later than 16 June 2021.
  • All photocopied documents must be authenticated by originating office.


Additional requirements:

In case an applicant has previous government service he/she should prepare the following documents prior the oath-taking ceremony:

a. All applicants:

  • Letter request for accreditation
  • Service Record from previous office and BFP; and
  • No Money Property Accountability Clearance from Previous Office

b. Appointed Personnel

  • Appointment papers of service subject for accreditation;
  • Certification of Last Payment;
  • Certification of Non-availment of Separation Pay; and
  • Itemized Leave Record from previous government service (applicable for services requested for accreditation within one (1) year upon entry in the BFP

c. Elected Official

  • Oath of Office;
  • Certification from COMELEC;
  • Certification from Current City/Municipal Mayor; and
  • Barangay Chairperson


Waivers (any of the following)


(for applicants with age and/or height deficiency/ies)
  • National Certificate for Indigenous Peoples
  • National Certificate for Muslim Filipinos
  • Professional Drivers License with restriction code 1, 2 & 3
  • Certificate of Fire Volunteer for atleast 6 months




    Salary


    Fire Officer 1 will receive a monthly basic salary of P29,668 (Salary Grade 10) upon oathtaking.
